JAN DOBKOWSKI

Classic of Polish contemporary art; painter, draughtsman, creator of spatial arrangements. He earned his diploma at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1968 in the studio of Prof. Jan Cybis. Together with Jerzy Jurry Zieliński, they founded the Neo-Neo-Neo group (existed until 1970). He was a scholarship recipient of the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York (1972), received the C.K. Norwid Award in 1978 and the Jan Cybis Award in 1994. He was awarded the Silver Medal for "Meritorious Service to Culture Gloria Artis."
