In the catalog of her exhibition at BWA in Wroclaw in 1975, the artist wrote: "Some of my paintings have a multifaceted possibility of exhibition. They are referred to in the catalogs as multilateral compositions, because I allow the possibility of precisely defined (by no means automatically referring to all directions) exposing the work after turning it from vertical by 90o, etc.". The painting "Rhythmic Space II" is one of the multifaceted compositions and was described as such in publications accompanying the exhibitions. The work was exhibited and reproduced in various positions. Sophia Artymowska arranged her own exhibitions, making the exhibition space a reacting factor with the exhibited works. The concept of differentiated composition allows us today to continue the search conducted by the artist. Operating the painting according to the author's instructions, we can observe how the mutual relations of geometric elements and color patches on the plane change depending on the change of position (sides: left-right, up-down). The multifaceted nature of the composition develops our perception. Thus, we discover the great potential of the influence of abstract values on the viewer.
