Knappogue Castle 1995 "Very Special Reserve" is a single malt Irish whiskey that was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2007. It is speculated that it may come from the old Bushmills distillery, one of the oldest distilleries in the world. This whiskey is matured in bourbon casks, giving it subtle fruity notes of orchard fruit, vanilla, spice, and a light oak influence. Aging in bourbon barrels contributes to its smoothness and lightness, which are typical characteristics of Irish whiskey.
