Saint-Emilion

Chateau Quintus is the latest addition to Domaine Clarence Dillon's impressive portfolio. It aims to showcase the unique character of the St-Emilion appellation. Wines are created here with great care and using all the experience of the owners, who also manage the famous chateaux Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion. The owners' ambitions are sure to take Quintus to the group of the appellation's top producers.
2013 was an extremely challenging vintage, which challenged winemakers in Bordeaux every step of the way. The best wines were made where the vineyards grow in favorable terroir and where the producer could afford to make a very sharp selection.
The 2013 Quintus, when tasted in the EP, showed itself to be one of the greater successes of the vintage. With good concentration, energy, nicely distributed aromas and overall charm. It has retained that character to this day and exhibits fantastic drinkability. Calmly open today and in the near future, when other vintages are quietly maturing.
80% merlot, 20% cabernet franc.
