ANTON FILKUKA ( 1890 - 1957) Spring Morning in the Alps with Farmhouse

Oil on Canvas

A monumental and luminous oil on canvas by the celebrated Viennese painter Anton Filkuka, capturing the serene beauty of a Tyrolean spring. The composition is centered on a traditional Alpine farmhouse (shieling), rendered with bright white walls and a broad wooden roof, nestled harmoniously within the mountain landscape.
The artist masterfully conveys the freshness of the season through a vibrant palette of lush greens and the delicate blossoms of trees surrounding the homestead. In the background, the majestic, jagged peaks of the Alps rise against a soft sky, executed with an exquisite atmospheric perspective in shades of pale blue and violet. Oil on canvas, 121 x 121.5 cm. Signed lower right.
