Mika Płat ek (born 1974) is a Polish painter whose style oscillates between lyrical study of nature and expressive abstraction. She graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in Kielce.
In her work she strives to capture the genius loci - the spirit of the place and the mood of the moment. In her almost portrait-like depictions of nature, she analyzes the fragility and at the same time the extraordinary vitality of life. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and plein-air paintings. Her works have been featured in galleries in Krakow, Warsaw, Wroclaw and Gdansk, among others. In her art she proves that nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, which in the hands of a sensitive artist can become a universal record of human experience, longing and a complex relationship with the world.
