Biography
Brother of Zofia Rydet. He photographed from the age of 15, and was primarily interested in the folklore and landscape of the Hutsul region. In 1926 he became a member of the photographic section of the Polish Tatra Society Branch in Stanislawow. In 1928, some of his photographs of the Prut Valley were published as postcards. In 1932, at the Provincial Exhibition of Photography arranged by the Polish Tatra Society, he received the second prize. In 1932, he graduated from the University of Lviv with a degree in law and began to apply to become a lawyer in Stanislawow. After the war, in 1957, he became a member of the Polish Photographic Society in Gliwice and participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions, winning prizes, including 5 state decorations. In 1963, he was awarded the FIAP Excellence title. Since 1945, he worked at the State Enterprise "Forest" in Rabka.
