The highest denomination of the first second-hand tickets of the Second Polish Republic (1924 issue)—a distinctive series whose iconography combined depictions of the coins they replaced with images of Warsaw monuments (for the 50 groszy note, a monument to Prince Józef Poniatowski).
They were issued directly by the Ministry of the Treasury (rather than by the central bank). They served to supplement the money supply at a time of a noticeable shortage of coins on the market. Denominations ranging from 1 to 50 groszy were produced at that time, but only the three highest denominations (10, 20, and 50 groszy) were not reprints.
