Decorative gilded frame with a canvas mat—featuring floral motifs
Plaster, metallic leaf/bronze, plaster casting
External dimensions: 71 x 61 cm
Internal dimensions: 53.5 x 44.5 cm
Weight: 2.8 kg
The richly detailed corners are adorned with relief motifs of stylized palm leaves and plant tendrils intertwined with flowers. The front of the frame features a wide, slightly undulating profile that lends the piece a three-dimensional quality and effectively highlights the gilded surface. The ornamentation is made of decorative plaster applied to a wooden base, and the entire piece is finished in a warm shade of old gold with a natural patina.
A unique feature is the original inner passe-partout (liner)—a wooden frame covered with light-colored canvas, serving as an elegant transition between the painting and the frame. The frame’s cross-section is wide and multi-tiered. The outer edge has a softly undulating outline that transitions into a wide, gently convex decorative surface.
Condition: Good (with natural signs of use and age. Visible localized scuffing and minor losses of paint—in the lower right corner)
