Oskar Zięta:
Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Szczecin University of Technology (now the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin), 2000.
Scholarship from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, 2000–2001. Since 2003, research assistant at the Department of Architecture, in the CAAD (Computer-Aided Architectural Design) department at ETH. In 2011, he earned his Ph.D. from that university.
Since 2013, he has been a lecturer in the Department of Design at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, School of Form, in Poznań.

One of the most outstanding and internationally recognized Polish designers. A technologist and inventor, he is the creator of FiDU—an innovative technique for three-dimensional sheet metal shaping using compressed air or water. He uses this technique to design striking furniture and other interior furnishings, as well as large-scale sculptures, including: NAWA – Dali Island, Ostrów Tumski, Wrocław, and WIR – Galeria Północna, Warsaw. His Plopp stool, designed in 2008, is part of the permanent collection at the Centre Pompidou in Paris as one of twelve chairs that have revolutionized contemporary design.
He is the recipient of numerous awards, including: Design Preis Schweiz, 2008; Red Dot Design Award, 2008; Dobry Wzór, 2009; Materialica Design Award, 2009; German Design Council Award, 2009; Audi Mentor Prize by A&W, 2011.
