with a gilded metal mounting at both ends, decorated with oak leaves, also repeated on the dome-shaped lid, fitted with a branch socket made of red Mediterranean coral (Corallum Rubrum). The whole rests on a weighted circular base, probably not contemporary, decorated with floral motives.
