Beata Szczepaniak (born 1988 in Zdunska Wola) is a graduate of the Department of Sculpture and Spatial Activities at the University of Arts in Poznan. Her sculptures were presented at the exhibition A-geometry, Hans Arp and Poland at the National Museum in Poznań, the exhibition (Don't) Touch! Haptic Aspects of Polish Art after 1945 exhibition at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Toruń and at the Centre for Polish Sculpture in Oronsko. She took part in artistic residencies in Shanghai, Osaka and Munich. Among others, she is the winner of the 2014 Prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Her work is based on biomorphic shapes that intrigue with ambiguity, asking the viewer what they are and seducing the sense of touch with the softness of forms.
