1938-1945. COLLECTION OF 4 MILITARY AND POLYTECHNIC DOCUMENTS FROM LVIV.
Lviv-Krakow 13 May 1938 - 21 September 1945, 1 k., 2 k., 6 k. and 31 p., 29 .5 cm x 42.5 cm largest and 7.5 cm x 12.5 cm smallest.
A unique collection of 4 documents related to the studies and military service of a student of the Lviv Polytechnic University. The first chronologically document is the military booklet of the Supreme Command of the Academic Legion. The second document is an exceptional permit from the 1st Armored Train Squadron to drive military motor vehicles. The document, along with a photo of the holder, was issued on July 28, 1939 [sic!], just before the outbreak of war. The third document is a student's index with the holder's photo from the Soviet occupation of the Lviv Polytechnic Institute of the USSR in Russian. The collection is crowned by the Diploma of Mechanical Engineer of the Silesian University of Technology issued in Cracow [sic!] on September 21, 1945 on the basis of studies at Lviv Polytechnic Institute and on the basis of the diploma exam.All documents issued for Adam Janusz Bielanski present an exceptional example of combining student and military duties and the difficult situation in occupied Lviv . Avery rare example of documents related to Lviv and the Polytechnic from just before the war and the occupation itself.
