The painter began his studies in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1928. In 1932, he participated in the first exhibition of the Loża Wolnomalarska group, composed of students of Tadeusz Pruszkowski; he later exhibited with this group in 1934 at Czesław Garliński’s Salon in Warsaw. He also exhibited his works at the Zachęta in Warsaw. He painted landscapes, genre scenes, and portraits.
