Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin under Anton von Werner. In 1897 he moved to the Breslau School of Art, to the studios of Eduard Kaempffer and Carl Ernst Morgenstern. From 1898 he studied painting in Karlsruhe with Leopold von Kalckreuth . In 1901-1903 he lived in his hometown Lviv Slaskie, and at the same time worked as a conservator in the galleries of Count von Pückler in Szydłowiec and Count Praschma in Niemodlin. In 1904 he settled in the Karkonosze Mountains - in Michalowice and then in Gruszkow. Since 1924 he lived and worked in Szklarska Poreba. He was a co-founder of the St. Luke's Artists Association. He painted mainly landscapes inspired by the nature of the Karkonosze Mountains.
