Harmanus Uppink (1765-1791, Amsterdam) – attributed, Floral Still Life With Friuts
The artist represented this magnificent floral composition with photographic precision: roses, lilies, poppies, tulips and other summer flowers emerge from a woven wicker basket in the center of the picture; on the right are represented ripe fruits such as grapes, peaches and cherries. The hyperrealism and technical sophistication of this painting are incredible. Oil on wood, 91 x 70 cm
