Upper Silesia in Pawel Wrobel's paintings delights with a fever of colors. The compositions, with simplified forms and at the same time an elaborate narrative, show the Silesian landscape and customs in poetic relief. As a native Silesian, he told the stories of his small homeland. The views of mines, familokas, lift towers or backyards are like painting postcards, made with tenderness and commitment. Pawel Wróbel painted regional customs and rituals, so his work also has elements of a chronicle record. The artist is counted among the most important Silesian primitivist painters.
