The pochoir technique was popular between the wars in Paris, it involves applying gouache through stencils. It was used by famous artists like Picasso and Zofia Stryjeńska. A beautiful representation in the Art- Deco style, it also used gold paint, not used for centuries in printmaking. A four-leaf clover - a symbol of happiness is surrounded by four rubies symbolizing love, passion and struggle.
