Biography
Visual artist, author, animator of meetings around Culture and Neuroscience. In 2017, she was awarded the Katarzyna Kobro Prize.
From 2001 to 2013, together with Aleksandra Kubiak, she formed the performance duo Chief Judge Group. Chief Judge's works are in many collections in the country, including the National Museum in Warsaw; the Museum of Art in Lodz; and the Zachęta National Gallery of Art. In 2006 the Chief Judge Group received the award of Television Culture and in 2007 the main prize in the International Performance Festival in Trento/Italy. In 2008, the Chief Judge Group received a Scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage to create a book about the Group's activities.
In August 2009, as a result of a ruptured aneurysm and two strokes, there was a complete turnaround in his career; in 2010 the Chief Judge Group is suspended and in 2013 it is ultimately closed.
Nowadays, he is involved in visual poetry in the broadest sense, concrete poetry and the creation of fonts of Absence. In her work, she combines brain knowledge / cognitive science / neuroscience with viewer interaction, which is crucial to understanding art. For 4 years r. she created the educational and cultural action "Culture and Neuroscience" at the Zachęta National Art Gallery. The main idea of the conference and workshops dialogue between neuroscience and culture. To this day, she organizes meetings on neurological diseases, mainly Stroke and Aphasia in everyday life. At the invitation of the Theater 21 Foundation, she created the instructional film The Essentials of Aphasia in 2020, which is a prelude to her third book. Author of : Font Braku / Font Braku - inspired by post-stroke Aphasia.
