Biography
Graphic artist (specializing in woodcut and metal engraving techniques) and educator. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Stefan Batory University in Vilnius and the Lithuanian Academy of Arts. He received his diploma in 1948 from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. After World War II, he lived in Gdynia. He exhibited frequently both in Poland and abroad, including at the Graphic Arts Biennial in Kraków (1960, 1964) and a solo exhibition in Sopot in 1962. The artist’s works are included in the collections of many Polish museums, including the National Museum in Warsaw and the Ossolineum in Wrocław.
