Biography
In 1973, he graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, and has lived in Poland since 1980. Painter, printmaker, and draftsman. He creates posters, book illustrations (especially for children’s fairy tales), bookplates, set designs, installations and spatial compositions, masks, and paratheatrical performances. His figurative art is characterized by a surrealist atmosphere with touches of irony and the grotesque. He works in various media: gouache, oil, pastels, and employs a variety of printmaking techniques.
