Biography
From 1940 to 1945, he lived in Duisburg and Mühlheim Ruhr in camps for so-called “dipis.” There, he worked in an amateur theater and pursued private studies in painting and drawing. From 1948 to 1954, he studied at the State School of Fine Arts in Łódź, where, among other roles, he served as associate dean of the Department of Graphic Arts. In 1979, he was awarded the title of professor. He works in printmaking, drawing, and painting. The artist himself counts among his best series: “Rudery,” “Przenikania,” “Kartki z albumu,” “Pejzaże,” and “Don Kiszoteria.” Since 1954, he has participated in over 500 regional, national, international, and Polish art exhibitions abroad.
