Martyna Czech, born in 1990 in Tarnow, is a graduate in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. She defended her diploma with honors in 2017. In 2015, she was the winner of the Grand Prix - Prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the 42nd Biennale of Painting "Bielska Jesień" in Bielsko-Biała, in 2017. Winner of the 2017 Talents of the Trio, in 2019 she was nominated for the Passports of Polityka award. In her art, she deals with criticism of the human world based on her own experiences. In many of her works, she addresses the suffering of animals. She is an astute observer of the relationship between the animal and human worlds. She is interested in situations where the collision of these two worlds causes pain and suffering. Where is the limit of human endurance to psychological pain, does it exist? In her art she is always sincere, brave and avoids the scheme. She touches on universal and timeless themes: love, death, passing, hatred, delight.
