A fine but carefully minted ear locket, minted to commemorate the 200 year anniversary of the siege of Vienna.
A very nice piece with a clearly preserved, intense mint mirror. Relief without any reservations. Background with light scratches.
A numismatic piece unparalleled on the auction market. A rarity and an excellent addition to both the minting of Jan III Sobieski and the collection of Polish medals.
Obverse: bust of King John III Sobieski in Polish attire.
JAN III SOBIESKI KING OF POLAND
Reverse: inscription in five lines
