Hand closed, brass frame. Straight, disc-shaped yoke. Shields oval, reinforced at the edges. Shank spindly, cross-notched and laced with brass filigrees. The head is spherical, riveted with a head pin on a brass washer. Steel hilt, profiled in one wide furrow, single-edged, symmetrical hilt. At the height of the hilt, on both sides, an etched representation of a two-headed eagle. On the back, under the cap, the inscription "Portenstein" - a town in Saxony.
