acrylic, gold leaf, pumice, canvas, 60 x 50 cm, signed and inscribed on the reverse: 'Norvi 206 | acrylic, gold leaf, pumice, canvas | 60 x 50 | Julia Dunko'
Julia Dunko was born in 1991. She studied graphic design at the Pinsk State Higher School of Fine Arts and fine arts at the P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University.
For six years, she taught art at an art school. She has participated in exhibitions in Belarus, Poland, Russia, Spain, and Italy. Her works are held in private collections in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Julia Dunko is the creator of her original artistic style, METAHARMONY.
METAHARMONY is a unique visual language based on the relationships between form, line, color, and space. The artist explores balance, depth, and harmony, creating minimalist compositions that invite the viewer to interpret them personally.
Her paintings are a visual journey through time, memory, and emotions.
The white depth symbolizes the past—a space from which we consciously choose what is purest and most precious. The abstract forms refer to the present—ever-changing, multidimensional, and full of relationships. The golden line becomes a subtle impulse of life, connecting the past, present, and future.
A characteristic element of her work is the golden lines and their shadows cast upon the white space. It is precisely through them that an illusion of depth is created, one that seems to extend beyond the boundaries of the canvas and invites the viewer to contemplate.
As the artist says, her paintings are a story of infinite possibilities, harmony, and eternity.
“For our eyes never forget what our hearts have seen.”
