Biography
He attended the State High School of Fine Arts in Bydgoszcz. In 2004, he graduated with honors in Drawing from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad; he currently lives and works in Bydgoszcz. He works in painting, drawing, and printmaking. The artist’s works are based on an analysis of the contemporary world. The form and subject matter of his paintings are often not entirely clear and remain mysterious. His expressive use of color and form lends his works a sense of dynamism. In his work, he combines awareness and purpose with intuitive action. He believes that the creative impulse does not always require inspiration; what is more important is that the work be original and authentic. Although he also paints figurative compositions, he is decidedly more drawn to abstraction, which allows him to blur intellectual concepts within his work. The artist continues to develop his work and focuses on capturing transience and ambiguity in his paintings, prompting the viewer to reflect.
