Monika Gawron, born in 1997 in Upper Silesia, graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2021). She completed her main diploma in the Painting Studio of Prof. Zbigniew Blukacz, PhD, and two additional diplomas: in the Drawing Studio of Prof. Maciej Linttner, PhD, and Sculpture under the supervision of Katarzyna Fober, MA. Scholarship holder of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice for the best students. She has solo and group exhibitions to her credit, including a solo exhibition at the Single Gallery in Katowice (2021), a group exhibition at the Roundabout of Art in Katowice "Student Picture of the Year" (2021), participation in the group exhibition of the International Student Drawing Triennial (2020) and participation in the Art Now project and a group exhibition at the National Museum in Krakow (2019). In her works, she explores autobiographical themes centered around time and memory.
