Małgorzata JASTRZĘBSKA (b. 1975, Lublin)
Graduated (2001) from the Art Department of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Works mainly in geometric painting, where concept, construction and color play a dominant role. An important element is the process of image creation, aimed at capturing a certain idea; close to design, but remaining in the realm of "non-utilitarian" objects. Underlying this way of treating an image are her interests in architecture and the sciences, but there is also room for symbolic elements and artistic freedom. Her works have been published in various magazines that follow current trends - such as: "Dobre Wnętrze", "Czas na Wnętrze", "Villa", (also in the now defunct "sztuka.pl" (2008/2010). )
From 2004 -2014 she cooperated with one of Warsaw's commercial galleries. Currently an independent artist.
