Witold Abako (born 1958)
Born in Lodz, Poland. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he received his diploma in Prof. L. Wajda's studio in 1984. In the 1980s he worked as a designer and interior architect in Poland and Germany. During this time he created many completed projects for furniture, interiors, fairs and exhibitions. Between 1993 and 2001, he served as Chief Graphic Designer at the Polish Music Publishers, where he put a strong aesthetic stamp on its visual shape with his artistic personality. As a lecturer at the Cracow Art Schools, he taught painting. He lives and works in Cracow. His works are in private and institutional collections in Poland, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria and Japan.
