Biography
Art project established in 2006 by two young artists from Czestochowa, adepts of the Faculty of Art Education at AJD. The duo consists of Bartłomiej Stypka (1983) and Łukasz Gawron (1985). The authors do not sign their works. From the beginning of the collaboration, a virtual character is created - Monstfur, which is a combination of the word "monster" and "potfur". Their primary means of expression is stencil - a thousands-year-old graphic technique, which in the group's creations meets modern aerosol paint technology. They prepare stencil martyrs by hand. They are primarily interested in implementation on the street. In addition to street-art activities, they simultaneously paint in the studio. They use sheet metal they find, for example, on scrap metal. They use found substrates in their natural shape: iron oxide, corrosion, remnants of lettering from information sheets, remnants of something that no longer functions.
