Romualda (Roma) Pilitsidis (1954) graduated from the Institute of Art and Plastic Culture of the Higher School of Pedagogy in Zielona Gora (now University of Zielona Gora) in 1999. From 1999 to 2015 she worked at the Archaeological and Historical Museum in Glogow, where she headed the Art Department and was also curator and custodian of the contemporary art collection. In 2003, she completed postgraduate studies in museology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow.From 2003 to 2008, she taught at the Art Department of the University of Zielona Gora .Since 2011, she has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. She has held 32 solo exhibitions and participated in 83 group exhibitions. Her works are in the collections of museums, galleries and private collections at home and abroad. She works in painting, drawing and collage. The works of Roma Pilitsidis, although formally belonging to the geometric abstraction trend, are in fact a poetic and atmospheric record of the artist's experiences and impressions. An artist with great sensitivity to color and painterly composition.
