Anna Szelągowska has been painting for 4 years, almost every day. Although she is self-taught, several hundred hours spent in front of the easel, brings results. Her paintings are gaining interest, and several dozen sold works decorate interiors in Poland and abroad. As she says about herself, she is a person addicted to the play of colors, light and shadows. According to her, they are what build the beauty of this world, which she tries to convey on canvas.
In her works she often juxtaposes contrasting colors. She likes to use strong, vivid colors, which she believes carry energy. She mainly works with acrylic paints, but many times combines them with other techniques, such as oil paints and pastels. Her favorite subjects to depict on canvas are human faces and elements of landscape and everyday life.
