A very rare variety with a LETTER (the mark of the minter Piotr Platyna) between the Eagle and the Pogo.
Tyszkiewicz valued this trojak at 40 marks in gold! Ivanauskas - RRR, and Kopicki at R7!
Variant with a dot after L at the end of the obverse legend and a dot after D on the reverse.
A very nice piece, with lots of mint luster, on the reverse passing into LUSTRO.
Delicate patina, minor sheet imperfections and runouts.
A nice piece of this variety is hard to come by, as best seen by the pieces in Ivanauskas' catalog.
