The composition is very characteristic of the artist's work and situates her in the trend of matter painting. Experimenting with transgressing the medium of painting by pasting mediated objects from everyday life to the surface of the canvas. Not painting them, but directly appropriating the object as a new artistic value. Giving objects the status of painting matter, in this case a piece of embossed leather sewn together with string and metal objects. The whole composition is characterized by the symmetry of planes and field divisions. The fascination with the reality of the object may indicate pop-art inspiration, but here we are dealing with a poor object, not the apotheosis of consumer values. "Poor object" is also close to Tadeusz Kantor's notion of reality of the lowest rank.
Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1951-1957), where she was later a professor at the Department of Industrial Forms. A member of the Nowa Huta Group and the second Krakow Group. At the turn of 1962 and 1963 she was on scholarship in Paris. In addition to easel paintings, she created sacred polychromes and architectural designs. A representative of matter painting, she also created abstractions and spatial compositions (assemblage) using everyday objects to explore and transcend the boundaries of painting as a medium.
