Henryk F. Starzynski (1901-1981). Grandson of a January insurgent, exiled to Siberia. In 1932 he obtained permission to come to Poland. He settled in Cracow. Here he graduated from the State School of Artistic Industry and took up permanent cooperation with Robert Jahoda's Bookbinding Company in the field of graphic design and artistic book binding. He designed posters, ex-librises, and was involved in typography and lettering. He earned the rank of associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts' Faculty of Graphic Arts. He practiced mural painting, but primarily painted watercolors. He was the initiator and president of the Watercolorists Club at the Cracow district of ZPAP.
