Eugeniusz Get-Stankiewicz —Polish graphic artist, illustrator, poster artist, and sculptor; one of the most recognizable figures in the Wrocław art scene. He was born in Oszmiana and, beginning in 1961, was based in Wrocław, where he studied architecture and then graphic arts at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (PWSSP). As a member of the so-called “Wrocław Four,” he helped shape the new wave of Polish poster art, characterized by irony, humor, and a personal creative touch. In his art, he often used the motif of his own face—“Łba”—which became his trademark. He was the creator of numerous copperplate engravings, bookplates, posters, medals, and public art installations in Wrocław, including the famous “Tablet in Honor of Simple Actions.” From 1995 onward, he lived and worked in the “Jaś” tenement house, where he established the Copperplate Engraver’s Cottage. He died in Wrocław, leaving behind a rich body of work and his status as one of the symbols of Wrocław’s artistic scene
