Young woman seated on quay rock, barefoot, wearing short dress with neckline exposing shoulders; hair pinned at nape of neck flows down to back. Her left hand supported by a scale, in her right hand a wicker
pick-up on a long handle. Nearby on the left - an oval basket with a stick filled with caught shrimp. Signature: "Auguste Moreau" - on the base at the back; above, a circular foundry mark:
"SOCIETE DES BRONZES DE PARIS". On the brass plate on the front engraved inscription: "PECHEUSE DE CREVETTES / SALON DES BEAUX-ARTS". Pedestal of blackened turned wood in the form of a cannelled column topped with a hemisphere; base and upper top -.
