Biography
The artist lives and works between Szczecin and Berlin. He works in sculpture, installation and artistic textiles. He graduated from the Academy of Art in Szczecin (2019) and the University of Arts in Poznan (2017). He worked as an assistant in Artur Malewski's Sculpture Studio (2020-2021). He won the award for best set design at the Divine Comedy Festival in Krakow (2023). His sculptures are at the intersection of intimacy and melancholy, and he often uses post-human materials and old textiles. He grew up in a small border town in western Poland, dominated by unfounded judgments and binary thinking. His early local exclusion led him to seek alternatives outside conventional human societies. His work explores the complex relationship between humans and non-human beings. He explores the mysticism of interspecies exchanges of gazes and proposes scenarios for a shared experience of the end in times of capitalist-ecological decline.
