Professor of the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts Przemyslaw Lasak specializes in creating figurative sculptures of realistic dimensions on a scale of 1:1. His works are made on the basis of casts from the bodies of models or the body of the artist himself. Thanks to this unconventional technique and the material used (thick fired ceramic) Lasak is able to capture even the smallest nuances and details of the human image. "Lying Man" is a sculpture depicting a man who is asleep, yet deeply experiencing, as evidenced, among other things, by his intense and focused facial expression.
