Painter, printmaker, poster artist, designer of art books and albums. An artist who moves in many areas of fine arts. But above all, a painter whose work grows out of a painterly vision of the world. Ostoja Lniski is focused in his painting on the creation of a symbolic figure sign resulting from the morphology of the matter of paint. In his work, the signs and symbols of painting and the most painterly graphic technique - lithography - have met and created an unusual, coherent synthesis. The artist does not reflect the real world, but invokes a world of sensation, from the borderline between the real world - remains, skeletons and tissues imprinted in prehistoric fossils, ammonites or lepidodendrons excavated from the ground - and the imaginary symbolic one, bringing to mind unknown beings, entities from the darkness of our imagination. In his most recent paintings we find reflection on transience and an attempt to record, through the methods of painting, the transience of the material existence of the world. Recently, he has also been very active in the area of poster art and book illustration. He has repeatedly presented his posters, characterized by conciseness of form and accuracy of message, which accompany exhibitions of painting, including a wonderful poster for an exhibition by Czesław Radzki, with whom he studied drawing. Born in 1974 in Czersk. Studied Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Rajmund Ziemski and Graphic Design with Władysław Winiecki. He defended his diploma with honors in both specialties in 1999. Since then, he has been working at the Graphic Arts Department, first as an assistant under Winiecki, and currently as the head of the lithography studio. Dean of the Faculty of Graphic Arts from 2012 to the present. Full Professor.
