Painter, prominent stage designer, associated with the Silesian art community since 1951. He finished middle school in the Borderlands, and received his matriculation in Toulouse. He studied painting at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (graduated in 1939). During the occupation, he joined the First Army of the Polish Army, where, among other things, he was active in the front theater. After the war, he worked briefly with theaters in Lublin and Wroclaw. He became permanently affiliated with the Silesian Theater in Katowice, for which he designed scenery for more than 100 productions. He worked with Holoubek, Wyszomirski, Jarocki, Kreczmar, among others. The artist has a reputation as a precursor of surrealism in Polish stage design.
