The painting depicts Wanda Szaybo - owner of a medical store in Kielce at the Market Square,who died in 1976.
PW Dimensions net 48 x 58 cm, gross 60 x 70 cm.Dobrowolski Aleksander (1888 - 1950). Born in Szarbkow near Pinczow in a landed gentry family. He studied at schools in Pinczow and Kielce. He studied art during the First War in Prague. For some time he taught at the cadet school in Rawicz. During the occupation he stayed in Kielce and Staszow. He created mainly pastels and watercolors. He was a master of portraiture. He participated in group exhibitions, e.g. Zachęta in Warsaw in 1922 and the first post-war exhibition in Kielce in 1945. He died in Slupsk in 1950.
