The cover was designed by Julian Bistroń (1907–1978), a graduate of the Cadet Corps, an officer in the Polish Army and the Home Army, a participant in the 1939 campaign, in 1944, deputy commander of the Home Army’s Northwest Inspectorate and commander of the 4th Company of the 19th Infantry Regiment of the “Warta” Forest Units Group.
