Biography
A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She received her diploma with honors in the field of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art. Her artistic portfolio includes two solo exhibitions (Toruń—Alliance Française, 2010; South Bend—Bernacchi Gallery, 2009), three group exhibitions (Grudziądz, 2007; Chicago—Arts Club, 2009; Toruń—CSW, 2012), and several dozen sold works. The artist’s paintings are part of many private collections in Poland, the U.S., and Canada. She works in easel painting and drawing. In her painting, she focuses on color expression and the impact of colors on the viewer. Minimalist compositions with harmonious color schemes and smooth gradients are a distinctive hallmark of her style. She also frequently employs glazes, splashes of color, and thick impasto, which intermingle to create the illusion of depth and space on a flat surface. Her multidimensional compositions are abstract works bordering on landscape painting. She considers the goal of her painting to be evoking in the viewer a sense of balance, harmony, beauty, and tranquility.
